Greetings fellow co-conspirators,
The first thing a good shadow government needs is a territory to prize. In this case, why not the whole world? Creating the game board where players are going to be doing their nepharious activities was my first task. I found this really cool asset in the Unity Asset Store called World Map Strategy Kit by the fine fellows at Kronnect.
Its a solid tool that seems to be made mostly for 4X strategy games and data visualizations. However our game is more of a management/strategy/puzzle variety, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make use of it as our base. First though lets give it a more technical feel:
